The William Road Gallery — 2018
“Creating a space illuminated
by the art held within it”
In 2018, I was hired to help in the rebranding of the William Road Gallery to make their style professional, dynamic and unique. The client saw the ethos as creating a space illuminated by the art held within it. This ethos is evident in the adaptability of the logo that can be layered on top of constantly shifting coloured lines. The adaptability of the logo and the movement of the lines provide each unique iteration with a fresh and modern feel.
To begin, I changed the fonts and employed a bold typeface similar to the eye-catching fonts of exhibition didactics. Colour is only used in combination with the logo on covers, which is comprised of a selection of blues and oranges that give vibrancy and energy to the content. Internally, the documents feature large borders and neutral fonts which allow for the images and graphics to be more impactful. This was an amazing opportunity that features a keen sense of space that is a hallmark of my practice and produced a successful rebrand.
