Leslie Jones Architecture — 2018-2019

2018 & 2019 Event Placeholders

Leslie Jones Architecture held yearly private networking events to which directors invited the firm’s most important clients. They wanted a series of name placeholders which I pushed to make more special and unique than in previous years. This was done by employing paper engineering and hand-cutting approximately 80 cards per year. On the occasions that I was able to meet these clients, it was nice to hear how well received these were and that some had saved theirs, illustrating that this was a successful marketing tool.

Wine Tasting Event Poster

Leslie Jones held a yearly wine-tasting event for which I was tasked with designing a digital graphic to show where in France the wines had come from. To make the graphic more eye-catching, I created an illustration of a glass of spilled wine that incorporated a map of France to display the information. The work was very well received and served as an entertaining and memorable addition to a successful networking event.

Office Outing; Oxford Trip Brochure

For Leslie Jones’ yearly office outing, I produced brochures outlining the schedule for a trip to Oxford. To make the event more special, I convinced the managing directors to allow me to create something unique for the event. To do so, I designed a series of brochures including a map featuring information on the sites that the team would be visiting and a list of things to do once we separated after lunch. These were printed on high-quality cards and, although the expense was not necessary, they received a lot of goodwill and appreciation from the Leslie Jones team.

Postit Vegetable Competition

A small internal social competition, that I helped organise, in which participants were surprised with a random, dressed-up vegetable or fruit from the supermarket and were tasked with finding creative recipes and photographing their outcomes. The staff highly enjoyed decorating the vegetables and giving them unique personalities before passing them along to colleagues as seen in the above images. This was an excellent way to bring the office together and encourage a more social office environment.

Gravesend Wall Illustration

I was asked by a director to design a proposed graphic that would go on the front of a new shopping centre scheme. I designed graphics to reflect the area’s history and unique offerings. Whilst this was not the final outcome, it was a great opportunity that allowed me to employ my passion for illustration.
